A DREAMY EVENING WITH THE ACES, THE BEACHES, & SAWYER

This past week The Aces headlined the most magical show at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC. From the creative, safe, and welcoming energy in the room, to the warm lighting, to incredible performance from all of the bands, it was truly a pleasure to photograph the night.

Opened by two bands, Sawyer and The Beaches, each artist set such a beautifully energetic tone for the evening. Sawyer, opening first, played everything from their most recent single releases to the lovely fan favorite, “Emotional Girls”.  Their set was so vibrant and had everyone in the crowd dancing with arms high to each tune.

The Beaches opened second with the coolest upbeat rock set. Everything from the stunning sparkly outfits, to the set’s design, and performance, the crowd was obsessed with their stage presence and performance. The Beaches were so fun as they danced all around the stage throughout their set, and rocked it. 

Headlining the iconic 9:30 Club, The Aces had everyone in the audience smiling from ear to ear for every song. They are such an important band to the queer community and incredible role models as well as musicians. Seeing an audience with lots of younger fans feeling so inspired, uplifted, and supported is so beautiful. It is amazing and needed. They played all of the newest favs from their captivating latest album, “Under My Influence”, as well as gems from their first album, “When My Heart Felt Volcanic”. Truly an incredible performance.
