my california

photos by celeste moses

Before moving to Northwest Arkansas, I spent my childhood in the redwood forests and coasts of Northern California. I remember my Californian childhood as a blend of rural fairytale landscapes. There was never a dull moment for me between living in my halloween tinkerbell dresses, playing in creeks, and stacking acorn houses for my little forest friends. As I returned to my home in California during the summer of 2020 the world looked different. Long story short: maturity is a bitch! I’ve revisited this collection of iphone photos that I took at my old home in California with a childlike lense designed to resemble the worldview I once had as a child. Explore & enjoy!
